Loyalty Signup Flow Changes - January 2026

Our loyalty signup flow has changed to include an SMS Marketing sign up form by default.
This form captures affirmative written consent to receive marketing messages from your brand by SMS. This consent method is compliant with all applicable regulations and, importantly, captures a record of consent at the time of signup.

As of version 1.18.290+ a second screen will appear (by default) when creating a new loyalty account, this screen prompts the customer to provide a signature and hit an "I agree" button to confirm their participation in your SMS marketing program.

It is important that team members are trained to allow the customer to sign this screen and hit the I agree button. Team member should never complete this step on the customer's behalf.

What if I do not want to use this opt-in flow?

While this setting is on by default, you can easilty disable the opt-in form per device. This is found in the POS settings under Settings > Rules > Collect SMS opt-in signatures for new loyalty signups.

Will this work on a CFD?
Yes, when connected to a CFD the signature screen presents to the customer while allowing a cashier to continue placing the order. If you would like to turn this step off on the CFD you'll need to turn it off in the settings of the device being used as a CFD
